As promised, this e-mail will focus predominantly on ways to help you along your journey into the world of cryptocurrency. If you can’t find at least one helpful tip in here, let me know what you are looking for and I will personally try and find it for you. Time Marches On As we turn the calendar past Labor Day and head towards the final four months of the year, I wanted to reflect on some aspects of the most precious commodity we all have – our time. I did three videos (all shot in one day, which was fun and crazy) on the topic this week, and they are only about 10 minutes each. Best Video I Saw This Week We’ve all been hearing about El Salvador’s official announcement of their adoption of Bitcoin as their national currency. That’s real time history being made this week, for certain, but what is the real impact? Mark Moss did a fantastic job of not only covering it but doing the “boots on the ground” approach in the Bitcoin Beach area of El Salvador. This video shows the value of Bitcoin to all the Salvadorans and how difficult (dare I say corrupt?) the banking system is in that country. It costs $50 a month for people to simply have a bank account. That’s downright criminal. Most people barely make $100 a month, so Bitcoin is a godsend. Here’s the video, it’s well worth watching. Helpful Tips As promised, here are several different helpful tips for you. I’ll provide each link and a description as to why to use them. Several are affiliate links (meaning I do get something if you use them) but a couple of things – I don’t provide any affiliate links that I either have used myself or that I haven’t fully vetted (or both). I don’t really endorse much but when I do – even with an affiliation – I only do it with those that I fully trust. I know how important that is. Lastly, I know that some of these topics can be complicated, and while I am unable to offer financial advice (#NFA), I can advise you on some things on a consultation. For example, I recently re-established accounts on both Kucoin and Gate.io, which can be challenging even for crypto veterans like myself. If you ever have a need like that, you know I'm here! DIVI Master Nodes One of the most popular questions I get is about DIVI, and how to get a Master Node. Well, I decided to directly help people in getting set up with DIVI – and all I charge for is my time. I don’t mark up the coins at all – we get a quote for you and I make sure that when we are finished that your node is up and running. I have looked at many options, and the best one in the US is CoinTradingCo. The fees are rolled into the cost of the trade and it is just 3.5%, again similar to that other popular OTC desk. Top US Exchanges: Coinbase Kraken Binance.US Gemini Top Coin Tracking Sites and apps: Coinmarketcap CoinGecko I prefer CoinGecko as my top app to go and find a new coin and what exchange supports it. The other important info to find is the wallet that supports any coin. Newer coins are often tough – but that’s why I’m here. Call me if you get stuck. Additional info: Wallets: Trust wallet (app store) Atomic wallet (app store) Both of these wallets support all Ethereum-based (ERC20) coins, and Atomic offers staking options.
